don’t know how to make them, join us for one of our scheduled
workshops and we’ll help get you started. If you wish,
you can trade with other class participants or submit your mini
masterpieces in Wishful Thinking's ATC Swap. Although
we will have plenty of ephemera and stamps for you to use, you
are welcome to bring any of your own personal supplies. Please
bring your toolbox.

Vintage
Photo Card
Guest Artist:
Carol Ponsford
Bring a vintage photo of a loved one and turn them into the
star of a charming card for a special occasion! You will create
a photo holder and give it a nostalgic look through distressing
techniques. Afterwards, you will build fun backgrounds with
layers of paper, paint, ink, gesso, and various other materials.
Once the background is finished, you will use the photo you
brought to add additional layers that will make your loved
one leap off the page! Your recipient will jump for joy upon
receiving this whimsical keepsake artwork and will enjoy it
for a lifetime! Please
bring your Basic Toolbox and:

Matte Gel Medium and paint brush
- 3
to 5 Black & White or Sepia toned copies of photo of
person (no originals please; vintage photos work the best)
- full-length body w/figure about 4" tall. Bring several
different photos and at least 2 copies of each. We won't
use them all, but it is better to have some choices.
- Any
other images that might be appropriate for the person you
are creating this card for (i.e., my Mom loves bunnies so
I used a bunny in her card).

Have you wanted to create a canvas but just never knew where
to begin? Come join Carol for this fun workshop where we will
transform a blank 6"x6" canvas by adding layers
upon layers of paper, paint, ink, and texture to create a
colorful canvas. Once you are happy with the background layer,
top it off with stamped images and you will leave with a finished
piece that you will be proud to display in your home. Please
bring your Basic Toolbox and:
